Once upon a time, in a quiet village nestled between rolling green hills, there lived a little girl named Lily. Lily had golden hair that curled at the ends, eyes as blue as the summer sky, and a heart full of kindness. She lived in a small cottage with her grandmother, who told her stories every night before bed.

One evening, as the sun dipped below the hills and painted the sky in shades of pink and orange, Lily heard a softflap-flap-flap outside her window. She peeked through the curtains and gasped.

Seven magnificent swans were gliding down from the sky, their white feathers shimmering like moonlight. But something was strange—each swan wore a tiny silver crown on its head!

The largest swan landed gently in the garden and bowed its long neck. To Lily’s surprise, it spoke in a voice as soft as wind through the trees.

“Dear Lily,” said the swan, “we are the Wild Swans of the Northern Star. A wicked spell has turned us into birds by day, and only a child with a pure heart can help us break it.”

Lily’s eyes widened. “How can I help?”

“You must weave seven scarves from starlight thread,” the swan explained. “Each scarf must be made with love and kindness. When we wear them at dawn, the spell will break.”

Lily nodded bravely. “I’ll do it!”

That night, she climbed the hill behind her cottage, where the stars shone brightest. She reached up and gently caught threads of starlight in her hands. They sparkled like silver dust and felt warm, like a hug from the moon.

Back home, Lily sat by the fire and began to weave. She hummed lullabies as she worked, and each stitch glowed softly. Her grandmother watched with a smile, sipping her chamomile tea.

Night after night, Lily wove. She made the first scarf for the eldest swan, the second for the next, and so on. She laughed when the thread tickled her nose, and she whispered wishes into each scarf—wishes for joy, peace, and freedom.

On the seventh night, just as the first light of dawn touched the sky, Lily placed the seven scarves on the garden table. The swans arrived, flapping their wings gently.

One by one, they wrapped the scarves around their necks.

Suddenlypoof!—a burst of golden light filled the garden! The swans transformed into seven handsome princes, each wearing a crown of stars.

“You’ve broken the spell, Lily!” said the eldest prince. “Your kindness has saved us.”

As a thank-you, they gifted her a tiny silver feather that would glow whenever she needed courage.

From that night on, every evening at dusk, the seven swans would fly over Lily’s cottage, circling once before vanishing into the stars. And Lily would smile, knowing she had helped magic return to the world.

And so, with a heart full of warmth and a feather that shimmered under her pillow, Lily drifted off to sleep, dreaming of starlight and swans.

The End.
