Once upon a time, there were four little mice living in a beautiful little village. In the village, there was a cat named Lina, who was the villagers’ pet. But the little mice were always afraid of Lina, because they had heard that Lina liked to chase small animals.
One day, the little mice decided to unite and face this problem together. They heard that there was a very impressive glove puppet dog in the puppet troupe, so they quietly went to the puppet troupe and stole this puppet dog.
The little mice practiced very seriously, making the puppet dog look lifelike. Two days later, they were finally ready.
When the puppet dog appeared, the little mice opened their eyes wide, wanting to scare Lina, but they found that she actually walked over smiling and greeted them very friendly.
The little mice all looked at each other in surprise, feeling a little confused. Lina explained to them, “Actually, I am not that scary. I know you have always been very afraid of me, but I just wanted to play with you. I never wanted to hurt you.”
When the little mice wearing the puppet dog masks heard Lina’s words, they began to feel a little relieved. They also replied politely and suggested making friends with Lina.
Lina was very happy, so they played together, told jokes, and even shared some snacks together. The little mice gradually discovered that Lina was actually a very friendly cat, completely different from what they had imagined.
As day after day passed, the friendship between the little mice and Lina grew deeper and deeper. One day, Lina accidentally lifted off the little mice’s glove puppet dog masks. The little mice were very frightened, thinking that Lina would be angry and would try to catch them.
However, Lina was not angry. On the contrary, she smiled and said to the little mice, “I know you wanted to scare me, but I knew from the very beginning that you were playing a game.”
The little mice felt very embarrassed and apologized to Lina. And Lina comforted them, “It’s okay. Everyone has times when they play games. But we must learn an important lesson: we should not judge people by their appearance.”
From that day on, the little mice and Lina respected each other even more and became true friends. They played together, learned new things together, and created many beautiful memories together.
This story tells us that sometimes we may have preconceived impressions of others because of their appearance or because of things we have heard, but in reality, after getting to know each other, we may find that both sides are good people worth making friends with. Therefore, we should keep an open heart and try to understand and accept different people. Only in this way can we have true friendship.
