But he had the warmest glow in all the meadow — a soft, golden light that twinkled like a little lantern in the dark.

Every evening, when the sun dipped below the hills and the sky turned deep blue, Felix would flutter up from his home beneath a daisy leaf and dance through the night air.

One night, as Felix floated near the top of a tall sunflower, he noticed something new in the sky — a tiny star he had never seen before.

“Hello up there!” Felix called out, blinking his little light.

The star blinked back.

“I’m Stella,” she whispered. “I just arrived tonight. I’m very new at this.”

Felix smiled. “New at shining?”

“Yes,” said Stella. “All the other stars seem so big and steady. They know exactly where to be. But I keep wobbling. I’m afraid I’ll fall.”

Felix tilted his head. “You look perfectly fine to me.”

“But I’m so small,” Stella said softly. “No one will ever notice me.”

Felix thought for a moment. Then he flew a little higher, right up to the edge of the tallest sunflower, and blinked his light as brightly as he could.

“Can you see me?” he asked.

“Yes!” said Stella.

“Good,” said Felix. “Because I’m small too. But every night, the children in the village look up and say, ‘Look — there’s Felix!’ And every night, the flowers lean toward my light because it makes them feel safe.”

Stella’s light flickered with wonder.

“Really?”

“Really,” said Felix. “You don’t have to be the biggest to be important. You just have to shine.”

Stella smiled — or at least, her light seemed to grow a little warmer.

From that night on, Felix and Stella became the best of friends.

Every evening, Felix would rise from the meadow, and Stella would appear in the sky. They would play a game — Felix would blink twice, and Stella would blink three times. The frogs thought it was very entertaining. The owls pretended not to care, but they always watched.

Sometimes, when the clouds rolled in and covered the sky, Stella would feel lonely. But Felix would fly as high as he could and call out, “I’m still here, Stella! Keep shining!”

And Stella would whisper back, “I’m still here too, Felix.”

One warm summer night, a little girl named Lily sat by her bedroom window, unable to sleep. She looked up at the sky and saw one small star twinkling brighter than all the others.

“Mama,” she called, “look at that little star. It looks so happy.”

Her mama smiled. “Maybe it has a friend down below.”

And sure enough, down in the meadow, a tiny golden light danced beneath the star — Felix, blinking his warm little glow.

Lily closed her eyes with a smile, and that night, she dreamed of fireflies and stars playing hide-and-seek across the sky.

And from that night on, whenever you see a small star twinkling in the sky, and a little firefly glowing in the grass — you can be sure they are saying hello to each other.

Because no matter how small you are, there is always someone who notices your light.

Sweet dreams, little one. The stars are watching, and the fireflies are glowing just for you.

[15
21,18
post-916","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-children","tag-children","tag-story
["GET
