In a small room, there was a blue Play-Doh box.

Every night, after the little boy Oliver fell asleep, a soft “gurgle gurgle” sound would come from inside the box.

It was the Play-Doh friends stretching their bodies.

Rosie, the red Play-Doh, was the first to jump out. She loved turning into beautiful roses.
Benny, the yellow Play-Doh, rolled out second. He always wanted to become a little sun.
Bruce, the blue Play-Doh, crawled out slowly. He felt he was best suited to become a quiet ocean.

But tonight, something big happened in the Kingdom of Play-Doh.

“Oh no!” Rosie suddenly cried out, “My petals are gone!”

Everyone looked down and saw that Rosie had been squished for too long while sleeping, and her petals had turned into a round little ball.

Rosie said sadly, “I can’t turn into a rose tomorrow.”

Benny comforted her, “Don’t worry, we can help you.”

Bruce added, “In the Kingdom of Play-Doh, all friends help each other.”

So, the three little friends started to think of a way.

Benny rolled himself into a thin, long strip to make the stem of the rose.
Bruce flattened himself into a tiny leaf and stuck it next to the stem.
Rosie carefully opened up the round ball and rolled it up, layer by layer.

One loop, two loops, three loops.

Slowly, a beautiful rose appeared again.

Rosie spun around happily, “Thank you! I’m even prettier than before!”

Just then, a tiny voice came from inside the box.

“Can I play with you too?”

Everyone turned around and saw a small piece of white Play-Doh named Mimi. She was a bit shy and had been hiding in the corner of the box.

Benny smiled and said, “Of course!”

Bruce asked, “What would you like to become?”

Mimi thought for a moment and whispered, “I want to become a little bunny, but I can never get the ears right.”

Rosie said, “That’s okay, let’s make it together!”

Benny helped Mimi shape a round body, Bruce helped her make a short little tail, and Rosie helped her pinch the ears to make them long and cute.

In no time, a white little bunny stood in the center of the Kingdom of Play-Doh.

Mimi was overjoyed, “This is the best little bunny I’ve ever made!”

The Play-Doh friends danced around the bunny.

They turned into flowers, then into stars, then into little cakes, and even into a round king’s hat, which they placed on Benny’s head.

Benny said proudly, “Now I am the King of Play-Doh!”

Rosie laughed, “Then I am the Queen!”

Bruce shook his head, “The King and Queen need to sleep now, because Oliver has to wake up tomorrow.”

Hearing this, everyone quieted down.

Mimi asked, “Shall we go back into the box?”

Rosie nodded, “Yes, the coziest place in the Kingdom of Play-Doh is the warm little box.”

So, Rosie turned into a little flower, Benny turned into a little moon, Bruce turned into a little cloud, and Mimi turned back into that cute little bunny, lying gently beside everyone.

The room was very quiet.

The moonlight shone on the blue box, like a silver blanket covering the Kingdom of Play-Doh.

Benny whispered, “Good night, Kingdom of Play-Doh.”

Rosie said, “Good night, friends.”

Bruce said, “Good night, Mimi.”

Mimi closed her eyes and said sweetly, “Good night, see you tomorrow.”

And so, the Play-Doh friends fell asleep in the box.

They slept so soundly and warmly, as if the whole night was spent dreaming a soft, colorful dream.
