Once upon a time, there was a mother eagle and her young eagle.

One day, the mother eagle said to her young eagle, “My child, you’ve grown up, and it’s time for you to learn some new skills.”

The young eagle replied hesitantly, “Mom, do I really have to learn them? Can’t I just not learn them?”

The mother eagle said, “If you learn some new skills, you’ll be able to use them when you’re on your own and in danger.”

So, the young eagle learned a skill from its mother.

One day, the young eagle was out foraging alone. Suddenly, a hunter spotted the young eagle, grabbed his bow and arrow, and shot toward it. Seeing this, the young eagle quickly used the skill it had learned and fled back home.

Upon returning home, it said to its mother, “Mom, I finally understand that learning skills in everyday life is useful in times of crisis.”
